The Center for Informatics and Computing (CIC) is a organizational unit of the Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI) in which research projects, development programs and services for scientists are performed in the fields of optoelectronics, information technology and computing.
Our Mission includes scientific research, development and maintenance of the infrastructure, technology and logistics for RBI and global scientific research, based on modern computer science, technologies and informatics, which have resulted in the development of eScience technologies on the basis of Science Information Communication Technology—ICST.

CIC has coordinated/participated in more than 20 projects funded by European Unions Research and Innovation programme and several funded by Croatian Science Fundation
The vision of this experiment (financed by HORIZON 2020 under FF4EuroHPC project) is to establish and predict the impact of heat on the structure and motion system of the industrial machine for additive manufacturing using HPC infrastructure.
The purpose of the EURO CC project (financed by HORIZON 2020) is to establish a network of national competence centres for high-performance computing in 33 member states of the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU).
EOSC-hub (financed by HORIZON 2020) brings together multiple service providers to create the Hub: a single contact point for European researchers and innovators to discover, access, use and reuse a broad spectrum of resources for advanced data-driven research.
HybridScale (financed by Croatian Science Fundation) will research and develop new models for parallelization and optimization of the advanced linear algebra algorithms with the primary goal to make the solution of a very large computation problem faster and more efficient by using large-scale distributed and heterogeneous computing systems.
